Mental impairments vary widely but normally include problems with one or more of the following: memory, perception, problem-solving, or conceptualization. They can be congenital or the result of a head injury, stroke, or disease. A few examples include: Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, autism, dementia, depression, dyslexia, learning disability, and mental retardation.
